DUMPV_21.PRG
DUMPV_21.PRG is the latest Version of my bankloader program for Chroma Polaris synthesizer. The program runs on Atari 1040 ST. Most operations of the program is possible with the mouse, short mouse clicks for "okay", long mouse clicks (left mouse button hold down a second or so, "HALTEN") leads back to a menu.
The Polaris and the ST have to be connected with two cables for MIDI out and MIDI in. The option Test (#1) runs a communication between ST and Polaris, if possible. Else there is an error message. The Polaris should send on MIDI 1 or be in omni mode.
You may dump or save bulk (#2), banks (#3) or single sounds (#4). There is also a possibility to manipulate the work memory of the Polaris, a random play function, which is useful for tests, a program change mode in which you may step through the sounds of the Polaris without use of the buttons of the Polaris.
The program runs on my Atari ST and with my Chroma Polaris well and without any harm. But please be aware that I can't give any guarantee that it works on any other system as well and also without harm.
MIDI_MON.PRG
MIDI_MON.PRG is a program which monitors the MIDI messages: Any message generates a new line. The first byte of a message is displayed inverted and will be shown only once if this kind of sending is going on. (Please refer to general information concerning the MIDI language).
The program runs on Atari 1040 ST. The Polaris and the ST has to be connected with one cable for MIDI out of the Polaris and MIDI in of the ST
You may terminate the program by pressing CONTROL-SHIFT-ALTERNATE simultaneously, and then prompt a MIDI message from the Polaris.
The program runs on my Atari ST and with my Chroma Polaris well and without any harm. But please be aware that I can't give any guarantee that it works on any other system as well and also without harm.
OSC_TUNE.PRG
OSC_TUNE.PRG is a program which determines the current tuning of the two oscillators of the Chroma Polaris. With any mouse click (left mouse button) the program newly determines and indicates the tuning.
The program runs on Atari 1040 ST. The Polaris and the ST have to be connected with two cables for MIDI out and MIDI in.
You may terminate the program by pressing CONTROL-SHIFT-ALTERNATE simultaneously, and then click the left mouse button.

POLARIST.PRG
POLARIST.PRG is a program for the remote control of Chroma Polaris synthesizer. The program reproduces the switches of the Polaris as numbers on the screen. You may operate remotely the switches of the Polaris by inputing the corresponding number and press <Return>. If there is a reaction of the Polaris LED if operating the Polaris switches, there should be also a reaction of the Polaris LED if operating by the ST. E.g. if you input "4" for "Lower Function", the LED for "Lower Function" should start flashing.
