ChromaTalk Archives: June 2000

David Clarke [21030085++]

Hi everybody,

I haven't forgotten that I promised to do a comparison between the Rev 12 and Rev 14 firmware - I've just gotten a little sidetracked as of late.

At present, I have identified all the code/instruction differences and I'm about 3/4 done in terms of knowing what each of those changes really mean (in terms of Chroma operation/use).

Regards,

David Clarke

Problem with patches

Dade

Ciao.

I have downloaded the factory patches for the Chroma, I've converted it in the .snd (tape) format, but I'm not able to listen it or send it to the Chroma by the tape interface. It's strange that if I convert the tape format in the txt one, all seems to be ok, but if I try to open it with Windows Media Player, it tell me "the format is not supported". Someone can help me?

Thanx
Dade

P.s. excuse for the bad english.

David Clarke [21030085++]

It could be that the Windows Media Player is expecting to see a WAV file and doesn't know how to support the SND (Raw) audio format.

My first suggestion would be to try another audio program - one that supports several different input formats. Failing that, there should be quite a few little utilities available out there to convert from SND to WAV.

Dave

problems with .snd

The .snd file that I sent are the factory presets converted with gxy2syx and syx2tape, so I think they are in an audio format I can send to the Chroma by the tape plug. Now the problem: I tryed many programs (audio readers, editors, ecc.) to listen theese files or to convert them in .wav format, but with no response. I ask if someone can convert it for me, so I can send it to the Chroma.

P.S. I'm using WIN 98

Dade - I'll convert them for you. Did you just want .WAV versions of the 5 sets of factory presets?

Dade

Wonderful. If you can send me the .WAV version, that's all I need.

Ciao
